High Museum of Art - Highly Social

The most successful social media event with more than double the amount of attendance from previous years.


Working alongside the museum's education and curatorial departments, we invited the High's social media community to visit for a night of fun and digital interaction. This was an initiative that I put into place to get our followers into the museum that they admire on a digital platform.

  • Created an instagram | twitter scavenger hunt that took participants through several different areas of the High Museum. 

  • This was the first year that visitors were able to use both instagram & twitter. (Previous years only utilized twitter.)

  • Networked with instagram community, @weloveatl, to get the message out in the Atlanta-based community.

  • Attendees utilized our hashtag that displayed on a livefeed in the main lobby that ran on a loop so they could see their photograph after finishing their tours.

This was a great way to reimagine how the museum interacts with the social media community.
